Blooming Season: 7 Photos Celebrating Spring in Canada
As Canadians, we love nothing more than the first hopeful signs of springtime.
Walk in the Park
David Sturhahn of Medicine Hat, Alta., shares this lovely image, writing, “I love spending time in Echo Dale Regional Park; it’s so peaceful.”
A Wave of Snow Geese
“I snapped this photo of snow geese at Garry Point Park near the historic Steveston Village in Richmond, B.C., several years ago,” says Russ Hayes of Sherbrooke, Que.
“I love strolling around the city,” says Maria Passarelli of Toronto. “One day, I noticed this great view of the CN Tower with a beautiful blooming tree in the foreground. My day was suddenly better!”
Raymonde Bourgeois of Swastika, Ont., writes, “A squatter took up residence in the birdhouse my husband Donat built. By the determined look on its face, it seems this cute chipmunk decided that this was the house for him!”
“I took this photo of my husband William Mitchell gazing out over Georgian Bay from Indian Head Cove in Bruce Peninsula National Park,” shares Fiona ni’ Giollarua of Red Deer, Alta. “We were on a holiday to do some genealogical research for his family. You can almost hear the immense silence in this photo.”
The Pride of Ontario
“Ontario’s provincial flower, the trillium, is beautiful and sacred,” says Linda Swance of Burlington, Ont. “I snapped this photo while in nearby Lowville Park last spring.”
On the Road Again
